Hi, my name is Farrah and I am Miss Teenage New Brunswick 2019. I am 18 years old. To help you learn more about me I will be answering a few questions.

What are your goals for this year?

My goals for 2019 are to make amazing memories at Miss Teenage Canada, help reduce summer reading loss by working with cradle to career Miramichi and to have a great start to my first year of university in pre-med.

What makes you laugh?

My friends make me laugh the most, we are always joking and making word puns to make each other laugh.

We made matching t-shirts for our last day of classes. The whole school laughed with us!

When you have free time what do you enjoy doing?

During my (very little) free time, I like to watch television shows like The Amazing Race Canada, and I like to read. My favourite author is Dan Brown.

What is your favourite family tradition?

For as long as I can remember my dad’s huge Acadian family love to have big gatherings. When I was young, we had Christmas supper with over 60 family members. Now we have a summer party with over 80 people. We always have good food and great music to sing and dance to.

How would you describe your own personality?

I would say my personality is very confident; I have always loved being onstage singing, dancing and competing in pageants. Adventurousness is another word to describe me; I am always open to try new things and go to new places. Another part of my personality is compassion; I love to give back to my community as a volunteer, as a junior leader for a girl guide unit as well as a reading tutor.

What language would you like to learn?

I am already fluent in English, French and Spanish. The next language I would like to learn is Mandarin because a lot of people in the world speak mandarin and it is a language very different than English, I love a challenge. I already know a few words in mandarin because I love to watch Chinese television.

What are you proud of yourself for?

I have worked very hard throughout high school, and I am very proud to have been awarded a full scholarship to Université de Moncton to follow my dream of becoming a dentist

Class of 2019

If you won the lottery, how would you spend the money?

First, I would buy my mother a corvette (she made me promise that…lol) and of course we’d go on a shoe shopping spree, but when we get back; I would love to give back to my community and to other communities around the world. Because post secondary is so expensive, I would also like to start a scholarship program for students who need financial help achieving their dreams.

What experiences have impacted your life thus far?

Competing in my first pageant has changed my life, I have made many lifelong friendships through pageantry and I am excited to make new friends this summer. Another experience that changed my life was in 2016 when I became an exchange student, I learned a lot about the world and about different cultures, it has opened my eyes to the world.

If you could meet anyone dead or alive who would it be?

I would love to meet Cassie De Pecol. She was the first woman and fastest person to travel to all 196 sovereign nations. I bet she has many amazing stories to share and I would love to hear all about them.

What is your favourite childhood memory?

My favourite memory from my childhood would have to be when I visited my Grampy and he surprised me with my own pony. Her name was Daisy, but I changed it to Princess because that’s what she was to me.

Princess

Hopefully this helped you get to know me a bit better!
